Built in 2011 and located in Scottsdale, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is arguably the premier baseball complex of the Cactus League and is the Spring Training venue that most-closely resembles and delivers a major league-type game experience. In 2014, the Cubbies stepped up in a big way as they moved out of Hohokam Stadium and into their brand new facility, Cubs Park. Still located in Mesa, the Cubs now offer an elite spring training baseball experience. Perhaps a runner-up to Salt River Fields in terms of most closely emulating a major league park, Chicago fans will still enjoy the familiarity of a Wrigley-type design and world-class atmosphere. It's safe to say the Giants offer one of the best overall fan experiences of all the Cactus League teams - evident by the rabid fans that travel in hoards to Scottsdale every year to witness their beloved Giants prepare for a deep run into the playoffs (especially every-other-year ... 2010, 2012, 2014?). What Scottsdale Stadium lacks in terms of state-of-the-art amenities is more than made up for by the friendly, die-hard fans and the unbeatable atmosphere they create.
